It’s just about a week until the insanity that is the Breeders’ Cup. Pre-entries are out, but that does not mean the rest of the horse racing world stops turning. This weekend at Picks and Ponderings, Paul Mazur and I take another circuitous road trip, and check in on some stakes action going on this weekend.
Paul heads to Keeneland for the Fayette (GII), and out to Santa Anita for the Autumn Miss (GIII). The Fayette puts the handicap division in the spotlight; the Autumn Miss is a turf mile for the three-year-old filly set. I meander east to Belmont for the Bold Ruler (GIII) and the Chelsea Flower. The Bold Ruler is a dirt sprint for the older set; the Chelsea Flower is a mile for juvenile fillies of the grassy persuasion.
Head on over to Picks and Ponderings, see what we have to say, and leave us a comment if there’s something you really agree with — or really don’t!
