The Busanda Stakes, a Kentucky Oaks points race, was originally scheduled for yesterday.  However, the races were cancelled due to safety questions and cold weather, and the Busanda was redrawn for Friday, January 16.  The race drew a bit deeper field second time around: nine three-year-old fillies instead of the original six.  Classwise, it also drew more contentious: Hopefaithjoy was a clear standout in the original field, but the newcomers include some horses who can give her a run for her money.
