The Kentucky Oaks prep season at Oaklawn Park begins in earnest on Saturday with the Martha Washington Stakes.  I have taken a dive into it at Picks and Ponderings.

The marquee name is, of course, Take Charge Brandi.  However, the race looks primed for an upset, and there are several reasons this likely odds-on favourite looks vulnerable, and this may be time for one of the new runners to shine.
