Chicago Railbird: 4.1.14

Most of the Internet may be joking around today, but Hawthorne is not, and neither am I.  April begins today, which means four-day-a-week racing at 35th and Cicero begins today.

Today’s Chicago Railbird takes a look at a trio of races over Wednesday and Friday in which longtime Chicago trainer Frank Kirby has horses running.  He has been running on the Chicago circuit for over forty years, and though his stable may not be as big as it used to be, he still has some solid runners — and some solid chances over the next two days.
