Chicago Railbird: 4.4.15

This Saturday’s nightcap at Hawthorne is one of the most competitive races that has been carded all meet.  A state-bred N1X at 1 1/16 miles on dirt, it drew a field of ten well-balanced horses.  No one has a massive pace advantage or even a large speed advantage, and it is the sort of race in which anyone who is correct will be rewarded well at the windows.

I take a deep dive into this race in this weekend’s edition of Chicago Railbird at ShapperDaCapper.  Head on over there, take a look, and be ready for the race!

(Fun fact: the horse in the picture in the article is Shadrach Bond.  He is not my selection in the race, but he is entered!)
