This weekend, Chicago Railbird takes a close look at a pair of graded stakes on the Arlington Million Preview Day card: the Modesty Handicap (GIII) and the American Derby (GIII).  Both of those races drew quality fields, and both have beatable favourites.  One of them is a good race in which to spread and find a price.  In the other, I see a single who will not go off favoured.
