Yesterday was Million Preview Day: the time when horses test their mettle, as well as their affinity for the Arlington turf course, in preparation for next month’s Arlington Million Day races.

Over at Picks and Ponderings, Paul Mazur and I take a look back at the four graded stakes on yesterday’s card.  I shine light on a familiar face in the Stars and Stripes, as well as a strong comeback in the Arlington Handicap.   In both the Modesty and the American Derby, Paul covers the graded stakes breakthroughs of a pair of horses who have been knocking on the door for a while, and finally put it all together against tougher company.
