Someone found Blinkers Off a few days ago by googling “skylarbdancing photo”. I apologise — I did not have any here yet, and I hope you found some already if it was urgent.
However, since Skylarbdancing (Sky Mesa – Two Hearts, by Deputy Minister) raced in today’s Arlington 1st. I got a few pictures of her. If you find your way back here, hopefully this gives you what you were looking for. If you were not the person looking for Skylarbdancing photos a few days ago, but enjoy bay fillies with white noses, then today is your lucky day..
She entered with blinkers already on, sporting the neon green and purple of owners RNB Racing.
Skylarbdancing got a little feisty in the paddock…
…but she calmed down a bit.
Julio Felix gets set up in the irons, while Skylarbdancing wonders why that weirdo in the paddock keeps pointing that camera at her.
All set!
Skylarbdancing was a little shy in the post parade…either that, or really interested in her pony and her pony rider.
Skylarbdancing had been hitting the board regularly in allowance company at Hawthorne, but had not been having the best of meets at Arlington. She dropped down to the lowest level of her career so far: $7,500 N3X. On that class drop, and on the fact that she had a win over polytrack last year, she went off the 7/10 choice in a six-horse field for that polytrack mile. Unfortunately, it was not her day; she tracked in midpack, never really mounted a run, and faded to fourth.
Things will be changing a bit for Skylarbdancing. She had been in the barn of Terrel Gore for all 26 of her starts so far. However, new trainer Armando de la Cerda got her in a two-way shake.
