Picks and Ponderings: 2015 Jim Edgar Illinois Futurity Recap

Yesterday, the stakes portion of the Hawthorne season concluded with the Jim Edgar Illinois Futurity.

The race drew a field of seven, though Shogood scratched the morning of the race.  The biggest question post-scratch was whether heavily favoured Richie the Bull was going to get two turns.  His half-brother Dom the Bomb did so with aplomb last year, but this juvenile son of Benny the Bull entered untested going long.
