The Derby Trail is back in full force this weekend, and I am (only figuratively speaking, much to the chagrin of Gator Kitten) going to Gulfstream.

Saturday’s card is anchored by a pair of three-year-old points races: the Holy Bull (GII) for Derby-bound types, and the Forward Gal (GII) for Oaks hopefuls.

Both drew relatively short fields — the Holy Bull attracted six, the Forward Gal seven.  One of these races looks to turn out quite formfully — though, the other has a tantalizingly beatable chalk.
