Hawthorne’s spring meet draws to a close tomorrow, and Chicago Railbird has a look at tomorrow’s 5th: a broadly drawn state-bred allowance for fillies and mares.
The race drew an interesting field, and serves both as the last race in the early Pick 4 as well as the first race of the late Pick 4. Mother Nature also throws a wrench into matters: with rain likely for tomorrow, the race may be run on turf with some give in the ground…and may be washed altogether onto the main. I cover both scenarios.
