Picks and Ponderings: 2016 Pennine Ridge Stakes Preview

Summer means turf racing.  Though the Triple Crown is still going on, we are late enough in the season that the three-year-olds who show more promise on the green stuff are embracing that talent.

This Saturday’s Belmont card features the Pennine Ridge Stakes (GIII), a nine-furlong turf route for the sophomore set.  The race drew a competitive field of ten, including proven stakes types as well as newer runners ready to prove they belong.  The Pennine Ridge, graded for the first time this year, serves as the local prep race for the Belmont Derby (GI) in July.

Head over to Picks and Ponderings, read my preview of the Pennine Ridge Stakes, and let me know in the comments what you think!
