Today’s stakes races at Arlington Park had a common thread.

Neither Mike Spellman Memorial Handicap winner Stormin Elle nor Black Tie Affair Handicap winner Cammack saw the starter in 2015.  However, both mounted comebacks in 2016 — and today saw each of them reach heights they had not seen before their extended layoff.
