The California spurs of the three-year-old trails meet their ends this Saturday with the Santa Anita Derby (G1) and the Santa Anita Oaks (G1).

In the Santa Anita Oaks, which drew a field of seven, the likes of Mopotism, It Tiz Well, and Abel Tasman get their chance to step out from the shadow of Unique Bella and finalize their paths to the Oaks.  The Santa Anita Derby looks a free-for-all this year, as thirteen entrants will try to punch their ticket to Kentucky.
