Fairmount Park is back in action on Monday: they’ll be running Mondays and Tuesdays, plus a special Saturday card on Kentucky Derby day, September 5.

In Episode 114 of Chicago Race of the Day, we look at Race 6 at Fairmount on Monday. It’s a classy dirt sprint allowance: a non-conditioned $25,000 optional claimer. It drew a field of seven of the toughest older horses in Illinois, including Grade 3-place Goneghost and stakes-placed Meeka. It’s a competitive race that looks good for finding a price, so let’s dive in!
