Tuesday’s 3rd race at Fairmount is a well-subscribed maiden special weight: ten fillies and mares, aged three and up, set to go five and a half furlongs on the dirt. It’s a fascinating race: they’re all either first-time starters or lightly raced, and no one towers on paper. That means it’s a fruitful place to look around for a square price!
