For Episode 140 of Chicago Race of the Day, we turn back to a sprint and switch to the polytrack for a filly and mare allowance-optional, Illinois-bred, state-bred N1X or $12,500 claiming price. The race, Friday’s Arlington 4th, features one salty grande dame of the circuit running against eight horses less than half her age. It’s an interesting race from a pace perspective, as well as from a horse-trying-the-surface perspective…so, let’s take a shot!
