For Epsiode 161 of Chicago Race of the Day, we get back to the two-year-old ranks! The day’s opener is a $25,000 maiden claiming dirt sprint for two-year-old fillies, a field in which most of the runners are either first-time starters or first-time dirt. Six of the seven runners are Illinois-breds, many of the runners are out of mares who ran in Chicago pretty recently…and it’s a good chance both to talk about local pedigrees, and about how the track may play differently this week than it did the first two weeks of the meet.
