My name is nicolle neulist. I live in Chicago, and I like horse racing. A trip to Hawthorne or Arlington is about the only thing that gets me out of bed before 10am on a weekend. The easiest way for an entire evening to disappear before my eyes is if I start reading about racehorse pedigrees, or get my hands on a sheaf of past performances for the coming weekend.
I started speaking my mind about horse racing on Twitter, and I still tweet incessantly about horse racing. However, there are inevitably times when 140 characters isn’t enough. Twitter is not enough for handicapping a card, or discussing what I saw on a day at the track, or for fawning at length about the great Palace Malice. Twitter is a little too dispersed a medium for truly following Curlin’s progeny, or the trials and tribulations of my fantasy stable, given how much I am given to banter with friends on Twitter.
Hence, this corner of the Internet.
If there’s anything you would like to see in Blinkers Off, or you are curious about any aspect of Chicago racing, Curlin’s progeny, or anything else I write about, feel free to send me an email at email@example.com and ask away!
