First the Mister D. Stakes., then the Beverly D. Stakes. And, now? Episode 255 of Chicago Race of the Day moves on to the Bruce D. Stakes, the race formerly known as the Secretariat. It is a Grade 1 race for three-year-olds, going a mile on the grass. The race drew a field of nine, all of whom are trying to move forward in the turf division.
This could lead to chaos; this race is one of the most confounding betting affairs I’ve seen in a stakes race in some time. So, let’s dive in!
